President Muhammadu Buhari appoints Balarabe Shehu-Ilelah as the new NBC DG.

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Friday, June 11, got a new director-general, Balarabe Shehu-Ilelah, who is a veteran broadcaster.

Professor Armstrong Idachaba was formally the Director-General (acting) of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

Shehu-Ilelah appointment comes 15 months after Modibbo Kawu was suspended as the DG of the commission in February 2020.

President Muhammadu Buhari approves the appointment of Shehu- llelah, his tenure will last for five years.

According to the statement, The minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the appointment in Abuja on Friday.
