CSP Olaniran Ismaila was recognised for his immense commitment, selfless service, relentless efforts in crime prevention, management, control and magnificent exploits in Kirikiri and environs through intelligence and Community Policing, for maintaining peace, law and order.

His proactivenes and responsiveness as Divisional Police Officer has delivered a qualitative security approach in combating crime. He has served in various formations of the Force as Unit Commander MOPOL 37, Lokoja in Kogi State, also as DCO Surulere Division, Lagos Command respectively.

The Torch news presented the Award to  CSP. Olaniran Ismaila O.

He has also demonstrated a sterling, exemplary leadership qualities, exceptional gallantry performance, service to humanity and involvement in protecting lives and property in Lagos and Nigeria at large. May he move from one giant Stride to another.

Responding to some questions after the presentation on how he has been able to curb crime and maintaining peace in his domain, he said, “The challenge of miscreants is waylaying, hijacking trailers, though my predecessor has brought down the crime and right now, am maintaining the legacy he laid down. Ever since I assumed office, we have not recorded such crime. Everyday, night I comb the area and make sure that i chased away the criminal elements, through our collective efforts the community can sleep with their two eyes closed”.

Speaking about the relationship and collaboration of the community, he responded that “‘the relationship is excellent as I assumed the office, I have  visited some stakeholders. I extended my visitation to Naval Base Commander, Road Safety Corps Commander, Correctional Centre Comptroller, the Bales and other stakeholders, we are working in synergy to fight crime in Kirikiri, Apapa.”

Reacting to the award presented to him, ” I really appreciate THE TORCH NEWS MEDIA, counting me worthy to be among the awardees of the noble media outlet, from the bottom of my heart am grateful and am delighted with this award presented to me today, I will redouble my efforts in combating crime, I will see that the environment is free of crime and I won’t relent in my efforts fighting crime in Kirikiri/ Apapa.

“I  Dedicated this Award to God Almighty,  my officers working with me and the entire Lagos State Command.

Also, reacting to the award presented to the DPO Kiikiri, CSP. Olaniran Ismaila O., the Torch News said, “CSP Olaniran Ismaila is a dedicated, effective proactive, selfless and gallant officer. ‘An officer with good conduct’, over the years, he has worked as DCO with three (3) DPO’s, with his good conduct he has been able to convince our organisation that he is worthy of the award based on merit.

” In view of this, based on observations, our organisation has deemed it fit to present Award of Excellence, Ambassador of Peace and Security to CSP. Olaniran Ismaila O.
