The former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has continued to remain relevant in the activities of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC despite all odds.

Ambode was appointed the deputy chairman of the south-west subcommittee of the Contact and Strategy Committee of APC in May 2021.

Presently, the affable former governor is now  playing a strategic role at the national echelon in the party, he was named as a member of the All Progressives Congress National Campaign Council by the party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

The Governorship election, which would take place on the 6th of November 2021, is strategic to the gains and mileage of the ruling party as the incumbent, a member of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Governor Willie Obiano, is term-limited.

The inclusion of Ambode’s name in the list is a testament of the fact that the former governor’s selfless service and giant strides scored while in office as the Governor of Lagos State didn’t go unremembered and unnoticed and appreciated APC.
