Ogun NSCDC Arrests Another Vandal with Gun Shot Wound

Barely twenty four hours that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Ogun Command discovered a corpse of a pipeline vandal, another suspected Vandal was arrested in the early hours of Monday, today at around 06:30pm.

The suspected vandal by name Gbenga Oyetunbo a 20 year old man from Ita-Jirin, Ogere, Ogun State according to the NSCDC Anti-Vandal team, Oyetunbo was arrested after an unknown gunshot came from nowhere and the NSCDC’s team were combing the bush only to discover him with gun wounds most likely from the gun attacks from fleeing vandals.

According to the public relations officer of the command Dyke Ogbonnaya “When interrogated, the suspected vandal revealed that he is just one of a four-member vandal gang and also that he is a bricklayer”

“The recovered exhibits from the vandals include: seven-empty 50 litres kegs, one-empty 25 litres keg, two- filled 5 litres kegs and rubber used in perpetrating these nefarious activities”

“This is just few hours after another vandal was discovered dead in the pool of PMS on the NNPC pipeline at Gbaga.”

He further said that “the Command had reported this incident to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to keep them abreast of this happening.”

The State Commandant, Everestus Chimezie OBIYO, had also warned during his recent media chat with the press men in Ogun state, to do all it takes to wipe out vandalism from Ogun state.
