BAKARE, SORINOLA, OTHERS DEFECTED TO APC IN OGUN.

Late Senator Buruji Kashamu’s campaign Director-General, Aare Remi Bakare and former Commissioner for Special Duties, Chief Kola Soriola have defected from People Democratic Party, PDP to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC along with thousand of loyalists.

According to reports,the duo, Bakare and Sorinola on Monday, were officially received by the Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the state chairman of the APC, Elder Yemi Sanusi at Ori-omi-Abeokuta, while thousands of supporters and loyalists of the ruling party were also to witness the occasion.

Elder Sanusi expressed joy and commended the boldness of the defectors and their loyalists for joining the APC. He also urged all party faithful to always be at peace, and to accomodate everyone, with that more people will be willing join the APC.

According to Bakare, “my defection was a self thought and constitutional right. I was on holiday in PDP but, now I have returned from holiday and back to my home, the APC”.

 Sorionla also  stated that his defection was prompted by the quality good management and qualities he found in governor Abiodun and the national leadership of APC, adding that record will not be fair to him enough if his contributions are not included in the building of our further together agenda of the state governor.

 Furthermore, Governor Abiodun however emphasised that the unity of everyone regardless of any political divide and the progress of Ogun state will continue to be his priorities.

He also urged all the Chieftains and members of APC to avoid any act of discrimination, noting that all defectors are duly welcome and have equal right in the party, and should not to be treated as new members.
